Full Mission Statement and description as the question “What do we do?” arose quite often.
Mission Statement:
UNI is a holistic volunteer organization dedicated to benefiting our community through focused and impactful projects that span from months to years. UNI was founded under the idea that one must experience all corners of a community to truly understand and work for its benefit. Being founded by avid volunteer workers, it was understood that while many similar "volunteer" organizations did achieve advances in our communities, they also placed a huge focus on an adult-run administration that failed to differentiate meaningful ventures from service hour grabs. UNI strives to differentiate itself by highlighting the person-to-person interactions in all acts of charity in order to grow, alongside promoting a student-run administration that will struggle, fail, but also succeed in order to learn valuable lessons that will translate to each individual's path to apply their knowledge to serve society. Projects are performed in a quarter yearly fashion, for example: Tutoring, Food distribution, Donation fundraising for causes, and etc. and will be rotated through each club so that members will be able to accumulate knowledge in all aspects of society.
UNI was officially established on March 27, 2023, and has branched out to a diverse group of schools and students in order to carry out our central theme of experiencing person to person connections through performing charitable works in the pursuit to achieve the knowledge to truly serve society for what it needs. As our group continues to grow and learn together, we aim to arm ourselves with this experience to create both long and short term community based projects that will always revolve around the person to person experience. Hence the name, U and I.
