Two main concerns that arise are being able to guarantee the volunteer hours earned by our members along with being able to file our taxes for grants and fundraising that will be done. In order to combat these problems, the following action plan will be taken:
Creation of an organization name and OFFICIAL mission statement for submission to IRS and to apply for a volunteer hour certifying program.
This will be done on April 8, 2023 in a meeting.
Take a “background” test in order to qualify to apply for the volunteer hour certifying program.

With the assistance of a parent (over 18) I was able to finish the background testing for applying to a volunteer hour certifying program. The application will come back with results on April 15th.
Contacting lawyer connections to take the correct steps toward establishing a non - for profit.
